The business was formed by Barry Cullum and Kenneth Clarke in 1982 based in Lenwade, Norfolk. Both are experienced tradesmen (carpenters and joiners by apprentice) who have worked in the construction industry since 1969.
In 1993, the business moved to larger premises in Attlebridge. A new purpose-built workshop was constructed and the business continued to expand. In late 2001, an extension to the workshop was completed giving increased capacity for machinery and more assembly area.
